• Page 1 (Original Post) • I have been working from home for the past eight years now and have developed Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. I have gotten to the point where I wear braces on both arms when I type and luckily I have not needed surgery yet. I do take ibuprofen sometimes for the pain but since using the braces it has helped out immensely!! Anyone else out there have Carpal Tunnel? Comment #1 MissCrissy from My Chair - Ouch! I can't imagine how uncomfortable that must be. I don't have carpal tunnel. Years ago my sister had problems with it, but her problem was with handwriting. This was before we all had laptops so she took my high school graduation present typewriter with her to take the bar. Comment #2 melena from new orleans - I'm very sorry to hear about that. That must be really tough. My father in law has carpal tunnel and actually had surgery and is doing a bit better now. My husband has it too but it's at its earliest stage but he is very nervous about it :( Comment #3 brian (194.158.46.130) - Hi Are you doing exercise therapy for your carpal tunnel? Have you had it properly diagnosed? Please note that there are other disorders with very similar symptoms to carpal tunnel that are a lot more common. I can post some good links if you wish Comment #4 Brian from El Paso, Texas - I would love to see some links.. you'll probably need to post one per reply to get them in. Comment #5 terry from ontario, canada [the EH land] - What are the warning signs of developing carpal tunnel? I would like to know what to watch out for. Thanks! Comment #6 bryfee from Europe - This is the best one on exercise. Tons of info if you dig a bit. It also has a module where you test yourself wih on-screen orthopedic tests - you will see if you have anyting going on and it pick up even minor things. That is good because that is the best time to do something about it. Comment #7 rowena105 from Anywhere You Want - I have a friend who has been a legal secretary for years and years and she developed carpel tunnel in one hand/wrist. She ended up having surgery and was a while getting the use back in her hand. • Page 1 (Original Post) •
