We currently have the same switch hooked up to our fax line. Until now we haven't had a problem, but we're trying to install DSL on this line and are having trouble getting the DSL to work. Does anyone have a clue if I need to put a filter on this, and if so, where does it go? Any ideas would be welcomed. Thanks!

This should probably be a new message... but here we go:

When you have DSL on a phone line, it is necessary to have the DSL modem connected DIRECTLY to the phone line and ALL TELEPHONES on the other side of a FILTER.

You could put one filter on each phone, or possibly a big filter for your whole house with the DSL modem connected BEFORE the filter.

If you are using a fax switch read their instructions, though I believe they will want the fax switch AFTER the dsl filter.

We recently purchased a dental practice and Qwest disconnected our LS-3 line sharing device and now our fax machine is acting crazy. I am desperate for directions on how to hook this back up:)

We replaced AT&T with Knology phone service. Now nothing comes through the LS-3 switch. Should the dip switches on the LS-3 be reconfigured. If you have manual, I'd love a copy. I'll pay postage.
