I have purchased a major safe that is open, I dont know what the combination is. Can I reset the combination myself or do I need a locksmith? can anyone tell me what the manufacture combo is? maybe it is still the same. The serial # is 97826 and the model # is HH5E.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Tom W

I think I may have shut my keys in my home safe and since it

isn't a combination safe, I cannot open it. Do I need a

locksmith? Thanks for any help you can give me. Mary Bauer

Purchased in-floor safe from a gal who closed her TCBY shop as her husband was relocated by a large tech firm. She had some difficulty opening it herself, but then she was able to open and gave me the combo (which, of course, doesn't work). I've tried using the "left" marker instead of the "center marker; alternating the "markers", two times this way, three times that way, all to no avail. What to do? Serial #R109935. Thanks in advance!

I'm the new owner of a used Sentry Safe, model T08-331. The safe is locked and the battery is dead. What is the best route to take to get it open? I wasn't given the combo. This came from a used salvaged store.

Thanks

I have had the safe for years with the same combo. Not sure what happened but after I shut the door the last time, the combo does not work anymore. How would I go about getting it open? The key part is unlocked and I have the key. Batteries are okay.

have an old HHM safe, no combo, safe has dial and serial numbers

Comment #16 keyman from california (Contact Member) -

Hi everyone

Tom its easy to figure out the combo when the doors not locked just take the cover off the back of the door then take off the back of the lock then turn the dial till u line up all the tumblers. Everyone that has the door locked the best thing to do is call your local safe tech or click on this web link for contact info.

I would first and foremost like to thank you all for displaying that I am not the only person in a situation with a Major safe discovered after living in a house we purchased eight years ago. That was quite a surprise let me tell you, anyhow I have the serial number and model number and if anyone would be so kind as to aid me in my quagmire. But, if I could use the obviously, well crafted and forged to last for at least the previous owners lifetime without as much as a bit of rust in at least seventy years or so. I only point out how cleverly disguised and well built because I gave it slight tug on the handle and I doubt Mr. Olympia could rip it out of the floor if tugged on it all day, with it still being if perfect working condition. Thank you for you time and have a pleasant day.

I have an old Major safe, Serial Number 920832 when we moved three years ago one of our kids shut it with the combo inside.

The safe was left over from our newspaper and printing company.

Sir,

I have been given a "Major Safe" Model number 4820, serial number 221147.

Would you please provide the year of make, and the cost of the safe when manufactured?

Thank you,

Jim
