| How do I get it through my bosses head that I don't want her buying me gifts or My fairly new supervisor just loves to buy things. She one of those that if she's in a store and see's something she gets it and gives it to me as a gift. I work in this office alone with her. I'm fulltime & she is parttime but has plenty money just works for the heck of it and I have already told her I feel as i have to get her something & I don't like that feeling. Or if she does something I dont like I have to go alone with it probably now. I'm tempted to buy one of those really big giant cards and write "thank you but no more gifts please" in bold writing. I don't have the money to compete with all this. Please give me some suggestions for a woman thats being nice but can be a pain when it comes to the physical work of our job mostly because she is old & use to doing for others money wise. These gifts are not things I need by the way. example- nurse top & antique figurine etc. & yes she is married w/kids & a preacher husband. |
| I don't think there's something wrong when your boss gives you presents. Perhaps, she is having pleasure of giving gifts to you because you are doing a good job, right? Don't think negatively with those acts not unless you experience difficulty from your job-she's giving you bulk of work in exchange for the gifts. But if you are really bothered, you can tell her frankly regarding that matter. I think she will understand. |
