Who Delivers Your Package?talk - Office Organization
Who Delivers Your Package? What company do you use to deliver your packages or envelopes and why?Personally I use FedEx just because I find them to be so friendly, I like the convenience of having the items picked up at my office. I also like that I can just print the label and get a tracking number. Fast Friendly and Convenient What is your experience with FedEx?
I used to use UPS but eventually changed to Fed EX for samw reasons. They are really friendly and i don't know... They somehow feel more reliable?
I've always used UPS and have never had any problems. I found Fed Ex to be more expensive. I also had a problem with them delivering a Christmas package to me and they lost it and could never find it. I had to fight tooth and nail with them for them to reimburse me for it.
I would always use the Postal Service (USPS Global Express Mail) for international packages.I ordered a $30 product which was to be sent to South America by USPS. Instead they shipped by DHL. The shipping was about $45 via DHL and paid when the package was shipped. When it arrived here DHL wanted me to pay them another US$110 (for storage, customs fees and taxes). I told them no way. Then they wanted more money to return then item (which they finally waived because I had been complaining everyday about how long it took the package to arrive). Instead I ordered another one from someone who followed my instructions to send it via USPS which cost less to ship, was received here faster, and most importantly... I personally took the package through customs... which took them all of about 15 seconds to open and send me on my way without paying anything! All of the private carriers seem to have the same procedure of storage fees, broker fees, and once even required the invoice to be translated to Spanish.
I have had no experience with DHL. That is just aweful that they charge all of those fees. I know FedEx can be higher than UPS or USPS but I just like the services they offer. I am more confident in delivery time and security.
I had always used Purolater for my parcels and over 25 years never had a problem with them. This year at Christmas, as I was sending some parcels to the U.S., which I normally do by the way, I decided to try FedEx for a change just to see if they were any better. It was the worst decision of my life. It was so bad that they not only refunded me my delivery charge but they also paid me for the value of what was in the package. I, for one, will NEVER use FedEx again. I will stick to Purolator or try UPS and keep my fingers crossed.
#6in the middle of nowhere | I use Fedex most of the time. I have a horrible time with UPS. I had a guy ride my package for several days before finally delivering it at 5:30pm. Every time I called UPS they said it was on the way and he will bring it by. I don't use DHL that much but I don't have anything too bad to say about them. |
Our company just switched recently to FedEx. We used to use DHL but had so many issues with them with lost packages, packages that are damaged, etc. They were very unapologetic to our problems and did not render us any credit. So, their loss...we made the switch to FedEx and have had no problems.
