It is an instrument for organizing loose papers, drawings, scrapbook pages, maps or photographs.This can be used by a student as a repository of loose papers which he uses to take down notes from classes. I happen to bring this in the library, too, when I do my research work. Do you also remember submitting your typewritten reports and projects fastened in these items? When a student graduates from college, he find himself submitting this portfolio now fastened with copies of his resume and certificates. I wonder if using elegant portfolios have any bearing on being hired for the job position? You got hired! Now, bearing a different kind of portfolio, one filled with the business profile and product photos and descriptions of the company you represent, off you go on a sales call. Oh, don't forget to put a business card in the inner pocket. Do you think you will you be able to close the deal? All the while, from school days to working days, and from so much more experiences to come, you have collected scrapbook pages neatly fastened in a portfolio. What a treasure of memories to keep. |

| When I was in college, I also kept my own portfolio showing my reports and outputs in a particular course. I think having a presentable and clean portfolio is really important for students. At the same time, it will also be useful for employees in keeping their file and important documents. I agree that portfolios are used for all reasons. This is a good way of organizing your important files. |
| Hi there! I have hundreds of Portfolios in my rooms that makes it like a storage area of all my files from highschool to college works.. They are not that neatly arranged but I can still figure out where specific documents are found.. Thanks to my memory.. Portfolio is really a big help for people, you get to scan previous files in a fastened areas , which is really great... Thank you so much and have a great day to all of you guys! |
| Same is true with me. Back in High school, portfolio is also my best friend when it comes to organizing my lessons and so as to my studies. Being organized with the things you have means that you are also a very organized person. But portfolios are also not used by students but can also be used in offices. The same thing should happen with your office products, you should also keep it systematic. |
| Its interesting to see how the digital age has affected the idea of a "scrapbook". At the moment of writing this I'm killing time waiting for my photos to upload on Flickr. Rather than a paper based scrapbook, I'm more comfortable storing my memories on far away servers that I can access no matter what device I use. Recently we had the memory of our digital camera erased inadvertantly but that erased about 2 years worth of photos which drove me to the idea of an online scrapbook. |
