Vista I was thinking of upgrading the office computer to vista but I am a little skeptical about just how much safer it is. Does anyone currently use vista and if so what is your opinion on it?
I use FreeBSD (similiar to Linux) and wouldn't go back to Windows (any version) for my main work station if you paid me a million bucks. I have windows on my laptop (though soon it will dual boot) for those few applications that come only in windows (stupid software vendors). It is a bit funky to load, but once you have it running you'll wonder why anyone still uses Windows!
I opted not to go for vista on my desktop. I just bought a new laptop and it has it on there. The added security is a nice bonus but it is annoying.
My husband has Vista on his new computer and I like it, but I'm not sure I want to make the switch just yet. I'm very comfortable with what I have now and I'm not one that does well with change. LOL.
