Naps Do you get tired during your workday? A nap in the middle can be very refreshing. I used to keep a reclining folding chair in the trunk of my car and sit on the roof of the parking structure on warm days and nap and tan during lunch. Very refreshing.
I get sleepy in the afternoon too!! I have got to lay off those sweets at lunch - I think I always come down from a sugar high about an hour after lunch. LOL.
You know some companies have a small room with a couch or recliners so you can kick back and have a nap. Some companies even require employees to have like 30 minutes down time in the afternoon to nap or just relax because it is proven to help productivity in the afternoon.
#3ontario, canada [the EH land] | Dang! I wish i worked at a place that allowed me to nap! My friend once worked at this place where he would be elft alone for a couple hours and he would go and nap for 30 mins to one hour every day. So lucky! |
I love the reclining chair idea. If I get sleepy, I just put my head down on one of the tables in the lunch room and snooze for a few minutes. I've always been low energy. Doesn't matter when or what I've eaten.
I used to drive to work and my car had a reclining front seat. So every lunchhour I would go down to the car put the seat way back cover myself with a blanket so no one would notice me and sleep for an hour.I always woke up on time and the afternoon was a breeze because I was totally refreshed. This is something that is very important. Either a nap or at least an hour away from the office doing something you enjoy like shopping. Everyone needs that break especially if they work on computers. It tires the eyes, mind and body and you should work 20 mins and then take a 5 minute break to the washroom or get a coffee or something.
