| When Boredom Sets in We are allowed to read magazines, do crosswords, read books, etc when the call volume is low. What are some other things I could do? Lately, business has been super slow and it just seems like I stare at the clock LOL. I can't ever find a good book to get into and I don't sew or cross stitch. ??? |

| That's right. Sometimes if you're too bored then they might think that there's not enough work to go around and thus layoffs. Yikes!! That's what happened to a friend of mine. He was always caught up on his work and was always asking for more and when they didn't have any...boom...he got laid off. Beware!! |
| I had this job where I was always trying to find something to keep me busy. Well, this worked to my advantage because the boss thought I was a hard worker. I don't really like to sit around at a job. I have to keep busy because it makes the day go by faster. |
| What about going around the office and asking some of the other people who seem to be busy if there is anything you can do to help them. This will not only keep you from getting bored but you could learn some new things and the boss will also notice that you are taking the initiative to keep yourself busy while helping out the company. This proves to be very helpful when raise time comes along. Whatever you do, DO NOT just sit and stare at the walls. Firstly, the boss will also notice this and secondly you will go home exhausted. |
