X-acto model 41 gearTo all of you that are looking for the small motor gear and larger cutter gear replacement for the X-acto model 41 electric pencil sharpener, I have the following information:1. Spodaco is defunct. Don't try them. 2. Rushgears.com will make any gear you want but the prototype will cost you the price of numerous pencil sharpeners. 3. I called the Hunt customer service line, and indeed we are all screwed, because they make the gear overseas, and don't sell the replacement part to schmucks like us who want to fix stuff for cheap. We indeed are a throw out society. Anyway, the customer service lady, who was the highest up I could talk to said nobody complains, so nothing is changed. She said if enough people complain, then they will reconsider selling the replacement gears to us again like they used to over 10 years ago. Please help me by lodging a formal complaint to the following number: 1-800-879-4868. Only when their customer support is flooded with calls will something positive happen.
