Answers: As an undergrad business major, what should I concentrate in? I am currently attending a small satellite school of the University of Cincinnati majoring in Pre-Business Administration. UC does not offer a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, once I transfer to the main campus, I must choose what my major will be; accounting, finance, international business, etc. I'm not sure which to choose. I'm interested in just about anything, I'm great with numbers and math and great with communication and public relations, so I'm having trouble finding a preference. I would just like a degree in something with a stable job field and good pay with opportunities to advance. Any suggestions?
As an entrepreneur and a management accounting graduate I am so much thankful that I have chosen a business related course because it help me to lend a job automatically. Business is everywhere and job opportunities in this field is vastly approaching. Take this advice from me that you have to concentrate in business courses major in accounting because this kind of profession is a promising one. Based on my experience and the realities in our society right now. Even you as an under grad student had observed it. Since you are smart in numbers don't compromise your abilities and continue your business course. Good Luck!
You can be a good entrepreneur then. I think if you want to enter the world of enterprise it would be an advantage if you take a major related to it. Your skill in doing the Math is just another point. The most important thing you need to focus on is the accounting because it has to do a lot about figures. It might be hard but take it as a challenge.
If you are good in both numbers and communications, then you will excel in international business. Nevertheless, you can still major in accounting, become a Certified Public Accountant, and still succeed in corporate finance after graduation. It's rare for people to have this combination so if you work hard and play your cards right, a flourishing career can be yours when you go out into the real world. Good luck!
